Whisering Oaks next show is Westcoast Morgan's Jan. 9 Open Show at their farm.. It features Saddle Seat , Hunt Seat and Western. Show is open to the public.

FCF Protege' dies!

The great gelding FCF Protege' died after a brief illness at the Surgicare Veterinarian Hospital in Brandon Fl. Protege' was owned by Cassie Bell of Odessa Fl. and shown by her in Pleasure and Equitation for a number of years. Protege' placed in the Top 10 in all his Equitation classes at the Morgan Grand Nationals this year and was Res World Champion with Cassie in the Walk Trot Equitation in 2005. Protege' was 16. He was stabled at Whispering Oaks and trained by Jenn Scotto.

Janice King Forbes
Janice King Forbes passed away peacefully at 77 years, after a brief illness on November 19,2009 at the Oconee Medical Center, Salem, S.C. She leaves behind Husband Frank Forbes, Son Frank Forbes of Douglas Mass, Daughters Janice Forbes Scotto of Tampa, Fl. and Jennifer Forbes of Boston, Mass. Grand Children William Klee, Alex Forbes Stevens, Sumner Forbes, Jennifer Scotto and Jesse Scotto. She also leaves 7 Great Grandchildren.
Janice was a Morgan lover having a Morgan named Prince when she was a child. She was active in the Conn. Appaloosa Assoc.and could be seen helping her daughters Janice and Jennifer at most of the Horse Shows were they were competing. Horse Show brownies were one of her specialties. She was a crusader for Animals and was instrumental in founding the Friends Of Animals no kill shelter in Clemson, S.C. Janice was also a fabulous vocalist singing in her church Choirs, Choral Groups, and small musicals. Janice will be missed by all who knew her.

WHISPERING OAKS WINS HARVEST DAYS HORSE SHOW COSTUME CLASS THIRD YEAR IN A ROW!
The Theme was a Old Fashioned Carosel. Thank-you Daine Stacy for the wonderful costumes for our Equine Participants, Howie, Axel, Pharoh, and Britt. Thanks to all our entrants Diane Stacy, Amanda Stacy,John Scionti, Abby Grundon, Dani and Debi Lail, Ashton Gamso, Ashley Wright,Jennifer Grundon, Karen Farnell, Mckenzie Wunderly,and Jennifer Scotto for making this a huge success. Whiserping Oaks also won the Stall Decorating Contest.
